Cookies Notice

Last updated: 28 April 2026

This page lists every cookie or browser-storage mechanism set when you visit quanttradingtools.com, what each is for, and how to disable it. We aim for short and complete.

Cookies we set directly

Quant Trading Tools does not set any first-party cookies of its own. The Site is a static publication; no login, no shopping cart, no personalisation requiring server-side state.

Cookies set by service providers

CookieSet byPurposeLifetime
__cf_bm, cf_clearance Cloudflare Bot detection and security challenge state. Strictly necessary for the Site to operate safely. Session — 30 mins
_ga, _ga_SXW6XYJME7 Google Analytics 4 Would distinguish unique visitors. Currently NOT set — GA4 is operating in Consent Mode v2 with default denied, which means no analytics cookies are placed. Up to 13 months (if enabled)

Cloudflare's security cookies are strictly necessary — they protect the Site from automated abuse and are exempt from consent requirements under UK PECR and EU ePrivacy Directive.

Google Analytics is loaded but configured with Consent Mode v2 in default-denied state. In this mode, GA4 sends "cookieless pings" containing aggregate, non-identifying data (page URL, traffic source, country at the country level only) so we can see which articles are read most. No cookies are placed in your browser. No persistent visitor identity is built. Personalised tracking would require an explicit opt-in — we do not currently offer one because the cookieless ping data already gives us what we need.

What we don't use

How to disable cookies

You can disable or delete cookies in any modern browser:

To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use a privacy-focused browser like Brave or Firefox with Enhanced Tracking Protection.

Changes

If we add new cookies (for example, when GA4 is enabled), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date revised.
